So one of my greatest hobbies is travelling. Although I’ve only visited a fraction of the world, I love it!

I do plan on updating my blog with more posts than just Instagram updates but I’ve been busy with other things recently, so haven’t really had the time!

I have school in less than 7 hours and I’ve done none of my homework. F**cked.
I have coke, music, and a sudden (panic induced) urge to get this homework finished.

So as I wrote about in the last blog post, I have been busy setting up a blog for technology/gaming related posts. It is run as part of gamingheavens.com and will feature posts from a few folk including me and Osseh!

Very quick blog post today. I’ve been really busy doing nothing.
In more interesting news, me and a friend Marty had an idea to start a technology blog. Not as something to take on full time, but more of a laid back hobby. We’ve set it up as part of a website we run called gamingheavens.com. I say run, Marty is an Administrator on it, I am a Global Moderator, so I just keep the forums and things running smoothly.
Just spent about half an hour setting up little bits on the blog, we’re using wordpress to do it and once its set up and has a blog post on it, I will share the link with you.
Basically, the people who help run gamingheavens, (mods+) can have an account to create blog posts on it and if we ever get an urge to write something on a technology topic we like, we can do so.
Sorry for not explaining all that well, I’m rather tired, so writing probably isn’t my strong point right now haha. Anyway, that’s all for now, smell ya later!

I was talking to Ossy about a week ago, about how I do nothing but see my girlfriend, sit on my computer and watch the football. Obviously, when school is on, I go to school too but other than that, my life consists of bugger else. Some of you may know that I’ve been getting rather down and depressed lately as well, and in my opinion although not completely due to this, I feel that a big part of the reasoning was due to me not doing anything. So it was time to do something about it.
I re-enabled Facebook last week as a way to get in touch with my mates, unfortunately the only way I can send a group message around is by Facebook. I tried to organise a few of my mates to go camping but some of my mates couldn’t afford it so we have held off on that idea.
Since camping/travelling was out of the window completely, we had to find something else to do. As there is fuck all for people my age to do, we resorted to drinking. Its been a pretty good week I must admit, had a good laugh with the lads and met some cracking new people too. Went to my mates sisters party the other night and met some crackers like. Hopefully will be able to go out with them again some time.
Moving on from drinking, I haven’t had a chance to get much Java practise in, in fact since the last post, I haven’t done anything. My bad, I will pick it up again soon, probably after the holidays have finished and I’m back at school.
Keeping a blog is so hard, I keep forgetting to update it, and since I haven’t been at home for the majority of the past week, I haven’t been able to. I know my friend Ossy is also having problems remembering to update his too.
My girlfriend, caitlin, is on holiday in Egypt right now which is part of the reason I’ve been going out drinking, caitlin doesn’t really drink at all, so I don’t have the oppurtunity to do so with her. Anyway, I really miss her. She will be back on Thursday but I don’t think I will see her until Friday.
Sigh.
Anyway, that is it from me for now, I would like to say I will post again later, but my words have proven to mean little in terms of this blog as of late. I do have a few ideas for blog posts which I would like to post as soon as I find the time!

So yesterday I started following some tutorials to get started learning Java. The first thing I got to make following the tutorial was a very basic calculator, it is text based and has to be addition. I could change it to division, multiplication or subtraction but I would have to change the code, there wouldn’t be an option for the user.
Here is the (very basic) code:
And here is step by step what the program does, the bits in green are what the user inputted.
So as you can see, it is very basic and I completely copied from a tutorial, so no effort or imagination on my behalf really. It’s a start and I’m sure I’ll keep at it.
